Mr. Timothy Fuller, Director, Department of Engineering Applications within AFIT’s Civil Engineer School, was selected as Air Education and Training Command's nominee for the 2019 Air Force Association Outstanding Air Force Employee of the Year Award – Civilian Senior Manager category. 

In 2018, Mr. Fuller transformed access to education at The Civil Engineer School through focus on blended, distant, on-site and micro-lesson course delivery.  His efforts increased student attendance 24 percent at no increase in cost.  Mr. Fuller also pioneered a low-cost, three-dimensional virtual capability that simulates real environments for course exercises.  His efforts led to the Air Education and Training Command Commander’s invitation to present the innovation at the 2018 Air Force Career Field Manager Workshop.

This award nomination recognizes Mr. Fuller's outstanding contribution to AFIT, AETC and the Air Force. Nominations are evaluated on the nature of the achievement, development of techniques or procedures that significantly increased mission effectiveness and breadth of impact.
