On 11 Oct 2007, the Air Force Center for Systems Engineering conducted its annual Senior Council meeting at the Holiday Inn, Fairborn, Ohio. The Systems Engineering Senior Council consists of active duty military and civilians representing a wide cross section of Air Force and Department of Defense organizations as well as industry and academia.
The Systems Engineering Senior Council provides advocacy, advice, and counsel to support the mission of the Air Force Center for Systems Engineering.
The Systems Engineering Senior Council reviews strategic and tactical plans for the Air Force Center for Systems Engineering and provides comments as to the relevance of those plans to Air Force and Department of Defense needs. The Council reviews the Air Force Center for Systems Engineering research, case studies, the systems engineering Professional Continuing Education portfolio and consultation efforts where appropriate, and alerts the Center as to new known opportunities in these areas. The Council acts as an advocate for Center efforts and resource attainment, and assists in making connections with potential sponsor organizations.
