Civil Engineer Instructor Wins National Award

Captain Justin D. Delorit, P.E., REP has recently been awarded the Air Education and Training Command's, National Society of Professional Engineer's Federal Engineer of the Year for 2015. 

Justin is a member of the Dayton Society of Professional Engineers and currently serves as Engineering Management Faculty assigned to the Air Force Institute of Technology, Civil Engineer School, Wright-Patterson Air Force Base, Ohio.  He currently directs and instructs several courses in both engineering and environmental management. 

He has published several peer reviewed articles and book chapters in the areas of water quality, land use optimization, and construction safety.  He was AFIT's 2013 Lance P. Sijan Award winner, and Team Wright-Patterson Company Grade Officer of the Quarter. 

Justin will leave AFIT in the summer of 2015 to attend the University of Wisconsin-Madison to obtain a PhD in Civil Engineering with a focus in Water Resources Engineering and Science.  He'll return to AFIT to fulfill a professorship upon completion.
